Client Studies
Christiania Bank
Over several years, we represented Christiania Bank in approximately a dozen matters involving the Alaskan commercial fishery, much of which is based in the Seattle area. This representation included a number of Chapter 11 proceedings that involved the complicated intersection of bankruptcy and admiralty law. As the commercial fishing industry suffered quota shortages and regulatory setbacks, many of Christiania’s customers, particularly in factory trawler segment, required substantial restructuring. Christiania retained BSK to represent it in numerous matters, both in and out of Chapter 11, with respect to loans ranging from $2 million to $40 million.
